If you are going to Kyoto in July, perhaps you'd like to arrange the schedule around these days to "bump into some 祭り".

If you are taking the bus, 1-day pass in only 500 yen.  Each ride is 220 yen.  If you will only take 2 rides per day, I'd like to suggest you to buy "5 tickets" at once for 1000 yen from the vending machine right by the bus stop in front of 京都駅.
